The Versatile Dress

I love this dress as it can be worn in many ways and in many different occassions. You can wear it all day long with your sneakers or ballerinas (a pair of white All Stars or a pair of Stan Smith's would be perfect), make a statement with a pair of army boots and later style it with high heel pumps, sexy sandals or booties. Wear a cardigan, a trench or even a wool jacket on top and you will make many heads turn...
How would you match it?

Prints and Cuts

Now that the first month of Spring is over, we can start wearing some dresses that are lighter and more suitable for Summer. I found the print and the cut of this dress extraordinary. It is actually a dress, even though in the front it looks like it is a top and a skirt. Here I styled it with a pair of biker boots and a leather jacket, trying to make a girly piece look edgy. Any thoughts?

What to Wear - 20140210

Trainer-lovers and style setters will remember 2013 as the year of the sports shoe. The New Balance sneaker trend and the wedged Isabel Marant high tops, have been a street style favorite for many - with even the most conservative of dressers swapping their pin-thin stilettos for sneakers.
Adidas is set to follow in the footsteps of their competitors, with the relaunch of their classic Stan Smith trainer, that has sold over 30 million pairs since it was first introduced.
This is why today I will show you a way to wear them and be classy and chic. I recomend a very simple black look that will make your Stan Smith's stand out! A leather mini dress and a pair of statement black sunglasses will sure make a lot of heads turn. And never forget to take care of your skin. Keep it fresh and young with Estee Lauder's Idealist Serum and day-wear creme.
Whether you are a fan of the classic minimalistic white leather pair or the all-new coloured suede variation, which will be available in March, don't hesitate to wear them in every occasion.

New ins and more

Twenty days have passed since 2014 came and I still haven't shown you an outfit look! I know, I am lame blogger but I have been so busy with many new things that came up. I also have a new roommate that has taken my mind away. I am not reffering to a human being but to a little puppy, only two months old, that required my full attention. Those of you who LIKE my fb page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Out-Of-The-Box/579416235449350 have already seen a pic of Gizmo. We found him wondering alone on the street and decided to adopt him. He was in a very bad condition and I am doing my best to make him feel healthy again and of course happy.
So what about blogging? Out of the box is here and I promise that it will do my best to keep making it better. For now I have some more new ins to show you.

Marge Simpson hits the world of fashion

Marge Simpson is known as a mother of three - Bart, Lisa, and Maggie - and as the "long-suffering wife" of Homer always trying to maintain order in the Simpson household. Artist Alexsandro Palombo - known for his irreverent and colourful fashion cartoons - has recently reimagined Marge in some of the most iconic dresses of all time. No matter what character she impersonates, Marge's signature blue beehive hairstyle, inspired by a combination of the Bride's in Bride of Frankenstein and the style that Margaret Groening wore in the 1960s, remain intact.

What to Wear - 20131114

Today W2W is a little bit different than what it usally is. Instead of proposing to you how to pull off a trend, I will show you how to "copy" a look. Straight from the streets of Copenhagen to your closet. 5444-Le-Stephanie Gundelach styled a simple pair of black jeans with a denim shirt dress and a mohair knit sweater. The look is completed with an all time classic camel coat.

What To Wear - 20130929

Plaid in every color and shape was on the runways for Fall/Winter 2013 and is going to be in the closet of every fashionista too. How can we transform the trend to match our personal aesthetic? I mean, we all have a plaid shirt and we know how to wear it. Or we may also have a Scottish tartan kilt and go for a grunge look like those on Saint Laurent's catwalk. But this time we also have examples like those on Celine's show that suggest to match different plaid patterns and colors in one look. How do we pull that off without making it look too costumy?
If you have the impeccable style of Christine Centenera I say go for it. Personally I love it. I only recommend you mix different types of plaid (be very very careful) or else the result will be too matchy-matchy.
If you want to play it safe, try it in smaller doses and you won't fail. You could chose one oversized plaid coat, like those of Stella McCartney and make every simple outfit stand out. You could also try a plaid dress which goes with pretty much everything. Try it with pumps, ankle boots or even over the knee boots. Keep the colors of your accessories in the same color pallette of your dress and use a light make up. Done!
