Fall/Winter trends for 2013/2014 Part I

Since Fall is about to come it is about time to start reviewing all the trends for Fall/Winter 2013/2014. Tartan, androgynous looks, florals and pastels, bold prints, embelishments, black, navy blue and white are some of the dominant trends. But lets start by presenting with each one of them

TARTAN
Red and green checks, blue and black plaid for rhis seasons' Scottish tartan. Saint Laurent gave the trend a grunge twist while Céline and Stella McCartney kept it masculine creating oversized coats and dresses.

PASTEL TONES
Although we have connected powder pastel with Spring, it's softness is even more charming during Winter. Powder pik coats and dresses and baby blue suits are the designers suggestions.

WHITE AND ECRU
For me white is the absolute chic color for Winter when worn right. Try it in small doses or in a total look to impress. For those of you who think that total white is too bold, ecru is the best alternate.

FLORALS
Flowers on Winter? Why not? Many designer houses like Tory Burch, Giambattista Valli, Oscar dela Renta and Comme des Garcons got inspired by them in a trend that tends to be classic. You can try total floral looks and also accessories decorated with flowers and floral prints.
