One more collaboration for Karl
Lagerfeld. This time he teams up with Japanese-inspired company Tokidoki to create a capsule collection of clothes and cartoon-like figurine statues. In one of them we can see Kaiser pose with his beloved pet cat Choupette.
The clothing collection includes printed jeans, casual vest tops and T-shirts, a scarf and a Karl-emblazoned clutch bag. The collection marks the designer's second partnership with the brand, which was created by Italian artist Simone Legno and is famed for its. Lagerfeld was first made into a tokidoki statue earlier this year (minus Choupette), to celebrate the launch of his first standalone store.
"I am very flattered that I have become a tokidoki," said
Lagerfeld. "I always loved them and I am very happy to be one of
them."
The range launches online at Net-A-Porter, and will
also be available to buy at the Karl Lagerfeld concept stores in
Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris.
"We love the tokidoki X Karl Lagerfeld collection," Net-A-Porter
fashion director Holli Rogers told us. "Everyone in the
office adores Mr Choupette, one of three dolls in the range. The
accessories and ready to wear pieces are so cute and covetable, in
particular the Super Karl vest top. Karl really is everyone's
fashion super hero!"
Cool ^_^
